Abstrusity is one of the few bands who are making conceptual Progressive Rock music in Pakistan influenced by 60’s / 70’s Progressive Rock Bands and Modern Progressive Metal Bands, the band was formed in 2010 by Salman Rasheed and Shajee Hyder, in the mid of 2010 Ali Ahsan Qureshi joined the band and they released a demo song called Threnode which was true story of a guy who lost his mother during the 2010 flood in Pakistan, expressed his woe. The demo was recorded at Qaiser Zain Ul Abedin’s studio and after its release the demo was reviewed by many senior musicians both local and international. Later on Shajee Hyder and Ali Ahsan Qureshi left the band and Sean Arnaz (Plays for Azal and QB as well) became part of Abstrusity, they’re currently recording their debut album in Faraz Anwar's studio as well as working on different projects with one of the best local and international musicians.
